I have read Dan Brown’s book, The Da Vinci Code. I found the book to be a fun read, full of action, suspense, history, and drama. It caused me to stop and reflect on the subject of Christ’s life, as well as His death. Unfortunately, it has a different impact, I feel, than what the author had intended. It has become one of the major weapons in the war that is raging across the globe in lecture halls, churches, seminars, numerous books, and various web sites. Now, two groups are fighting against each other that should be working together against the forces of darkness.
What are the two groups, you ask? One is the group who looks at Jesus and sees the Son of God, born of virgin birth, sent to teach, heal, and finally to redeem the world by closing the book of the Law of Perfection. By paying the ultimate price with His body and His blood, He descended into hell, defeated the hosts of darkness, rose, and rules in heaven, till His time to return for the Final Conflict. The other group says that Christ might be the Son of God, because we are all God’s children, that His birth was not a virgin birth, that He had to travel to India, Tibet, Turkey, Afghanistan, Egypt, and numerous other centers of knowledge, to learn psychic abilities and magic. He returned home and we are not sure what He taught, but He taught something, and He performed only psychic tricks. When the political situation got too hot, He decided to arrange a grand conspiracy encompassing hundreds of conspirators, to fake His death, sneak out of the tomb, lie to his closest disciples, convincing them that He died and He rose into heaven, and then He snuck off to France with a wife, Mary Magdalene, that He had kept secret from everyone, and His daughter. Once settled in France, He turned around and travels the globe having a fine life, and then He dies at an old age, after a night of song and drink. But their claims don’t stop there. It’s actually just beginning. A second, even more elaborate conspiracy, is then played out across the centuries and the globe, to convince the world that none of these things actually happened, and the conspiracy is still being carried out today.
Now to be fair and honest, I will admit that I fall into the real Jesus camp, and if you reject that possibility, then it might be a good idea to stop reading at this point. But if you are open minded and want to read a reasonable discussion of the issue, not personalities, (and I won’t use anyone’s name, as I’m not here to attack anyone) involved in the debate.
If the other camp’s goal was to further our understanding of the Christian faith, I would be all for it. But it’s not. The Christian church is their first target in this global war. Sadly, the majority of the leadership has become fixated on political issues, money, power, and personal fame. The great Christian thinkers and philosophers have been replaced by televangelists and weekend seminar leaders, who have less understanding of Christ’s message of love and compassion balanced with a understanding that there is a war raging for the spirits, souls, and minds of all good people. The Christian leadership is so weak that it even allows atheists in best selling books to embroider what Christianity and who the Lord is. And it’s more focused on the End times than making sure that all suffering people in the world have good times. Thus, it is open to be reshaped and remolded into not a new Christianity but a New Age or New Thought religion. In turn, this new church will require new leadership, new teachers of the New Thought, new organizations, and new gospels to spread the teachings, etc. but wait, it doesn’t stop there! Because if we cannot trust the story of Christ’s life, and presume it’s been made up, and just some conspiracy has taken place to keep us from the truth, then just maybe the Jewish faith, the Hindu faith, the Muslim faith, and the Buddhist faith need to be examined and the same things happened as well. Buddha didn’t sit under some tree; he traveled to Egypt and North Africa and brought back their secret school of teaching. The Jewish faith came from nothing but a bunch of old occult teachings. And the Hindu gods, well if the truth came out, they’re really from outer space and they weren’t gods at all! And Mohammed, well, he traveled to China and brought back their teachings and changed it all around. So you need to listen to our teachings, and us! We are just going to have to get rid of the Hindu faith, and the Muslim faith, and the Buddhist faith, and the Jewish faith, and the Christian faith and all other faiths and have one religion. And we’ll tell you what that religion is. And we’ll be the keepers of the truth. And if you question us then you’re just part of that grand old conspiracy.
I am not saying here that people like Dan Browne or the other folks in that camp are evil. But we do have egos that tend to get out of control, and the biggest boost to an ego is to create a religion that you are the gatekeeper to.
Most often, the New Thinkers use the dogma of various church faiths to foster their points. Dogma is not righteousness, dogma is not faith, and dogma comes from man, not God. I try not to focus on the teachings of man; I focus on the teachings of my Lord and Savior. I also focus on truths that come from the Buddhist faith, the Hindu faith, the Jewish faith, the Muslim faith, and numerous other faiths, but I don’t mix those faiths up into faith stew. Each one is separate, unique, and valid. Within the Christian faith, the three primary points that must be correct for our faith in Christ to be true are:
1. The Christ was born of a virgin birth.
2. He died on the cross.
3. He rose from the grave.
If any of these three points are false, then our faith is false and the other side wins the war of The Da Vinci Code.

The Darkest Hours of Jesus

Over the past few years there has been an effort by many to alter the story of Jesus Christ, His life, and how he died. These fictitious alterations have more often been wrong than right, and have confused and bewildered people, thus causing inner conflict and doubt.
This Good Friday, I’m going to write about my Jesus, the Jesus that I have grown to love, admire, respect, but never completely comprehend. My Jesus is the only Son of God. Sent here to earth to end the need for the Law of Perfection that the world suffered under until the day He was nailed to the cross. Born of Mary, a virgin, and Joseph, his earthly father, He was not a child of some rabbi or spiritual leader, or of a Roman centurion. Jesus, the child, turned into a man who under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Lord himself, was taught all the knowledge to understand and comprehend His role in the struggle of good over evil, of light over darkness, of love over anger, and of peace over unrest.
If He did travel to India and Tibet to study under great masters, that’s fine, but it’s not important. If He didn’t, that’s good as well. If He got caught up in politics and wanted to see Israel free of Roman power, so what? He was a man, He had the power to think, and speak His own thoughts. But none of that really matters. Was he married to Mary Magdalene? Had children, even? Again, that’s not an issue that I hang any great importance upon. For what is the greatest expression of being but a man loving a woman and giving life to a child? So if he experienced this, great. If not, then that act of sacrificing a normal family life so that he could serve all of mankind. Did He come up with totally original and new ideas about the world? Some bold, brave, and new kind of thinking? No. Does that make him less a teacher if His message is simply one of love and compassion? Caring for your fellow man? That there can be victory over illness, suffering, and bondage in this very life and in death? That there is the reward of being one with the Father and being reunited with your loved ones? The most excellent truths we can seek are often the old ones. And when He learned what the final act of His earthy life had to be, the betrayal, the trial, the beatings and floggings, carrying His own instrument of death, and finally, hours of suffering, nailed up on the cross. Nails driven through both His hands and feet. With bones broken, organs bruised, blood flowing from countless cuts, He knew what He had been born to do. Not only had He come to give a message to an unlistening world, but also He came to this earth to live and die for all of us.
Just as His last breath left his body, spoke: “Why hast thou forsaken me?” and “Blame them not for what they do for they know not.” His blood flowing to the ground to pay a price so we can seek healing and salvation. With His breath gone, His body moved into a tomb, the darkest hours of Christ’s life was at hand. There was one final task He had to do. The hardest and most challenging task still lay ahead.
Christ had to descend and stay in hell for 72 hours. Alone, cut off from angels, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord Himself. He had to endure 72 hours of torment. What deepest recesses of hell He must have been cast down into. What manner of demons must have been unleashed upon Him? His spiritual body must have been torn to shreds. The devil, Lucifer and Satan only had 72 hours to force Christ into forsaking His power. Understand that Lucifer has access to the heavens. He knew about Revelation and the final conflict to be played out in Armageddon, and he knew that unless he broke Christ, he was going to lose the battle.
Jesus Christ is and was the ultimate Bodhisattva, (the Sanskrit term Bodhi [enlightenment] and sattva [being], meaning someone who releases all sentient beings from suffering). He had to take on all forms of physical illnesses during those hours on the cross. Every infirmity ever known to man, Christ had to endure. So we could be healed. Think of that, will you? Every form of cancer, every infection, virus, and germ released on his body. Every form of mental illness was unleashed on his mind. Each and every major and minor sin He endured. He had to go to hell and suffer the full might of evil for every single person that had been born, for all times, past, present and future. He paid the price for believers and nonbelievers. This is what grants us the grace of salvation for those who seek it. This is what grants us dominion to cast out demons. If Kirby Robinson’s name were used to cast out a demon, the dark forces would laugh, as I have no spiritual authority. But because of the dark hours that Christ spent in hell, He never gave up. He could have, but He didn’t. He knew that if HE could not withstand the onslaught of evil, then who could? Not you, nor I, but only Him.
Why is it that more and more people are trying to take Jesus off the cross and turn His works and teachings into myths and lies? His life was led to the fullest for every single person that has and will ever inhabit this planet. Some have been insinuating that His life was part of some wild conspiracy. He used the cross as a means of escape. He snuck out of Israel and lived under an assumed name in another country. A wise man once said that the smartest thing that the devil ever did was to convince people that he did not exist. I say, the smartest thing the devil ever did is convince people that Christ did not pay the ultimate price. He may sell that bill of goods to others, but not to me. I have Christ in my heart, spirit, and mind. My Christ lived for me, my Christ taught for me, my Christ suffered for me, my Christ died for me, my Christ rose for me, and my Christ will be there always for there for me. Will yours?

Resolving Curses, Breaking Yokes, and Withdrawing False Covenants

How can you avoid the need to extract yourself from spiritual bondage in the first place? Don’t make curses that need to be resolved, and refrain from yoking yourself into a lifestyle that requires you to make or receive false covenants. Referred to in Buddhism as “The Noble Eightfold Path” it is called this since it contains eight traits that naturally repel bondage. It’s explained in such a way as to be appropriate for anyone following his or her correct path, no matter what religion/belief.
1. Correct view – understanding that every action can have a positive or negative effect and you are always striving for those that will result in a positive effect.
2. Correct intention – developing a mental attitude and goal to achieve the best that can possibly be achieved whether it’s the Buddhist wish for enlightenment or to always help as many people/sentient beings that can be helped.
3. Correct speech – refraining from cursing, lying, gossip, or general coarse speech. How one speaks is reflective upon their mental state. Truthful, soft-spoken, gentle speech will help cultivate a strong and positive attitude.
4. Correct action – in Buddhism, it is wrong to kill, steal, commit adultery, lie, and take drugs/alcohol. Then again, this seems to be the case for most other religions/beliefs, too.
5. Correct livelihood – to refrain from creating negative states of mind, it is important to avoid jobs where lying, killing, stealing, cheating/sexual misconduct, and the use of intoxicants are involved. To earn a proper living, you should love your job and it should help not only yourself, but others.
6. Correct effort – this is where overcoming negative states of mind such as pride, anger, the need for revenge, and lusting after all manner of material items. It’s better to approach this slowly and gradually, rather than with sudden spurts. The mind is like a monkey, wildly swinging about on tree branches, so this is where patience and reflection is truly needed.
7. Correct mindfulness – to develop self awareness of what you are doing and why you are doing it will help you develop inner clarity. Become aware of your thoughts and control them.
8. Correct meditative absorption – this isn’t where you begin; it’s where you are led! By following the previous seven steps, you will naturally attain this ability to concentrate and be fully aware and in the present.
Sadly, many do not live the eightfold path, and have already invoked curses, yokes, and false covenants to be in place in their lives drawing away joy, peace, and happiness, respectively.
There is hope, folks, do not give up! The struggle won’t be easy, but the war can and must be won.
Curses:
1. Identify the curses and yokes. We all have the power to discern through prayers and meditations those strongholds of darkness that have been planted in our lives through our efforts and the efforts of others.
2. Once you have identified it, then we must storm the dark house. Just as Jesus Christ said in Matthew 12:39 “How can one enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods except he first bind the strong man and then he will spoil his house.”
a. Bind the lead demon. For example, if you discern that the reason for poverty in your life is a curse on your finances, then you invoke, via your source of spiritual authority, that demon of poverty be bound. He is the leader and may be the only one involved in administrating this curse. If not, then you have cut that demon out of the power structure; he is mute, unable to hear, unable to act.
b. Once you have bound the lead demon, often lesser demons will flee the scene. No matter what your spiritual path is, use a set of prayer beads and chant 108 times the steps listed below. You have to be seeing it happen in your mind, feeling it true in your heart, and know you have won when you’re done. You have to say these chants in order; each one is done 108 times.
1. “Satan and his dark forces, you are not welcome here in my life anymore.”
2. “Any curse placed on my (insert problem such as finances, relationships, sickness, etc.) is broken.”
3. “Yokes placed on my life are lifted, are gone, and will stay gone.”
c. Now you have broken the curse and you have lifted the yoke of that curse. The last step is a requirement to chant the following: “Bound demon of (insert problem such as finances, relationships, sickness, etc.) you are gone, be gone, stay gone.” As you do, focus in your mind, that each time you say the above, envision the demon going further and further away from you. By the time you reach the 108th chant, it is nonexistent.
The above is effective for both curses that you have placed on “self” and for those who have been placed on you by others. One emotion to avoid is the sense of anger that will come over you when you flush the curses and break the yokes. Don’t get caught up in it. You’re starting fresh, feel the love and compassion and be in the moment and don’t focus on the suffering that you’ve endured in the past.
False covenants:
As to the false covenants that you have made, this is one tough mountain to climb. Often, false covenants have consumed large amounts of time, effort, energy, income, love, hope, preserving, maintaining, and fostering the second party in the covenant. A lot of times, we find it difficult to give up on that object. Because it’s what we have deluded ourselves into thinking would bring us happiness. But that is a lie. The only happiness that we can have is that happiness which we find inside ourselves. Far too often we refuse to realize that and we think: “If he/she leaves, I’ll die.” “If I don’t keep this job I’ll just have to end it.” And in reality, if he/she leaves, life continues. Lose that job, there’s always another one. False covenants like those are fairly easy to deal with. Tibetans have a saying, “Change your mind, and the body will follow.” It can also be said, “Change your mind, then your life will follow.”
False covenants made with demons/dark forces to get a reward in exchange for something, i.e. my soul or my life. Folks, here’s a newsflash -- they are not legally or spiritually binding. Demons are fallen angels. They do not have any innate authority over you, unless you hand it over to them. Dark spirits have even less, so the covenant is invalid and cannot be enforced. The only one that can enforce it is you. You’re the one feeling obligated that you must allow the demon to take from you. And here are the steps for nullifying from existence this type of false covenant.
1. You must seek spiritual protection from whatever spiritual path you’re on.
2. Once that is done you need to give up the object that you have bargained for.
3. You must bind the demon that has been assigned to you to collect that debt.
4. Renounce publicly that you no longer intend to be bound by that covenant. This can be done in front of your church, spiritual teacher, or family/friends.
5. Chanting 108 times:
a. “The covenant I made with the Devil, Lucifer, Satan, and his cohorts no longer exists. It no longer is valid and no longer has power over me.”
b. “I enter into a new covenant with (insert the spiritual path you are on: Jesus Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Great Spirit, Allah, whoever your spiritual master is).”
c. “My soul does not belong to the Devil.”
d. “My soul does not belong to Lucifer.”
e. “My soul does not belong to Satan.”
f. “My soul no longer belongs to any demon.”
g. “My soul is free.”
This round of chants may need to be repeated more than once.
Now you have the tools to banish all courses, yokes and false covenants that have been tormenting and troubling your life. Remember, life doesn’t have to be filled with confusion, suffering, and unhappiness. Live your life full of freedom, love, and compassion and independence from all curses.

Tibetans have a saying, “Change your mind, and the body will follow.” It can also be said, “Change your mind, then your life will follow.”
False covenants made with demons/dark forces to get a reward in exchange for something, i.e. my soul or my life. Folks, here’s a newsflash -- they are not legally or spiritually binding. Demons are fallen angels. They do not have any innate authority over you, unless you hand it over to them. Dark spirits have even less, so the covenant is invalid and cannot be enforced. The only one that can enforce it is you. You’re the one feeling obligated that you must allow the demon to take from you. And here are the steps for nullifying from existence this type of false covenant.
1. You must seek spiritual protection from whatever spiritual path you’re on.
2. Once that is done you need to give up the object that you have bargained for.
3. You must bind the demon that has been assigned to you to collect that debt.
4. Renounce publicly that you no longer intend to be bound by that covenant. This can be done in front of your church, spiritual teacher, or family/friends.
5. Chanting 108 times:
a. “The covenant I made with the Devil, Lucifer, Satan, and his cohorts no longer exists. It no longer is valid and no longer has power over me.”
b. “I enter into a new covenant with (insert the spiritual path you are on: Jesus Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Great Spirit, Allah, whoever your spiritual master is).”
c. “My soul does not belong to the Devil.”
d. “My soul does not belong to Lucifer.”
e. “My soul does not belong to Satan.”
f. “My soul no longer belongs to any demon.”
g. “My soul is free.”
This round of chants may need to be repeated more than once.
Now you have the tools to banish all courses, yokes and false covenants that have been tormenting and troubling your life. Remember, life doesn’t have to be filled with confusion, suffering, and unhappiness. Live your life full of freedom, love, and compassion and independence from all curses.

Curses, Yokes, and False Covenants

I would like to return to the subject of spiritual warfare due to the overwhelming demand of my readership. I will focus on three tools that the dark forces/demons use against us in the never-ending battle, and as the saying goes, “knowledge is power.” I want to empower you on the pervasive subject of curses, yokes, and false covenants.
A curse is any act, spoken, or mental thought that seeks to produce harm or injury towards someone or something. When the demons out there pick up the scent of a curse they go to work on the curse and the person who makes the curse. (The simple act of cursing anything is an invitation to the demons to enter your life and you have opened up the door to them). A curse can take many different forms.
1. A curse as an evil declaration against a person, group, place or thing, so be careful when you say such things as: “I curse this job.” “I curse that relationship to fail.” “I curse this office.” This is the act that leads to most curses being cast and often people don’t even realize they are casting curses, until years later, if ever. And of course there is the other way, that of finding a trained individual who will cast the curse for you, or the do-it-yourself method of buying or checking out a library book and casting it yourself.
2. A curse is the polar opposite of a blessing. When you say “I love you” that’s a blessing. When you say, “I hate you” that’s a curse. Blessings are positive wishes, hopes, and prayers for good. No curse can ever produce such things.
3. A curse can be our own personal actions. Let’s say you drink alcohol. Then, by the simple act of drinking you opened up the door for possible legal, personal, and health related curses. These can range from being arrested for DUI, to becoming addicted, and such alcohol related diseases like depression, cirrhosis of the liver, heart failure and AIDS. Conversely, good conduct, such as abstaining from liquor, produces the opposite results, which are blessings.
4. A curse is a judgment against a person, place, or thing. How often have we felt good about a task we set for ourselves, then someone attempts to undermine us, saying: “That’s too difficult.” “Your goals are unrealistic.” “What makes you think you’re good enough?” We as mere humans hear the curse of the negative words and buy into them.
5. A curse can be placed on a physical object and thus effect everyone who comes into ownership with that object. I can’t count the times I’ve been called into a case and while moving through the home, I find some little object and ask where did you get that? And hear answers such as “My boy bought that statue thing back from Iraq” or “I dug that up at some burial ground.” Objects can have curses placed on them that can easily last thousands of years.
6. A curse can come from the simple act of saying the words: damn, hell and any other cuss word, or in reality curse word, with a negative intent in mind. When you get cut off in traffic and say “damn you” to that driver of the foreign sports car, you’re cursing the driver of that foreign sports car. When you say “damn you” to your spouse when you fight, you’re cursing your spouse. When you say “damn” or “dammit” when you get mad at yourself, you’re cursing yourself. And whenever you curse someone, even yourself, that curse will return to you.
7. A curse can come from a negative wish. For example, you wish someone dead, or to go to hell after they die, then that also constitutes a curse.
Now the yoke is the outgrowth of the curse that binds the cursed one physically and spiritually. It’s like the ox that pulls the cart, with that big, heavy wooden yoke binding his neck. Someone who has been cursed is prevented from finding peace. They only know suffering via physical and emotional pains and inner turmoil. They suffer physical, emotional, and oftentimes sexual abuse. Shame and disgust will rule every thought they have about themselves. Coldness, fear, hopelessness, and confusion will rule their minds. We also need to understand that our own inactions can produce curses that saddle us with yokes. These would be traits like refusing to forgive, refusing to engage in a spiritual path, and refusing to stop self-imposed negative thinking. That trio of inactions produces curses that saddle us with yokes. So we can end up cursing ourselves and not need others to do it.
A covenant is an agreement that is entered into by two parties. If party A does the thing that Party B asks them to do, then Party B will reward them for their actions. As in the Christian act of salvation, the person goes through the process of accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior in body, mind and spirit, makes a public confession, and in turn Jesus Christ will stand up for them in heaven. Covenants are good things, but there can be “false covenants” that we don’t often realize that we’re entering into. “I’d give my soul for that job.” “I’d give up my five years of my life to date him/her.” “I would give up everything to see him/her lose.” You’ve heard those expressions before, or maybe you even spoke those words yourself. At some time, quite often in our youth, we make pacts with the devil. I’ve seen it so many times in my cases where I find out that at some time they’ve asked for something from the devil, got it, and years later their life literally went to hell. Folks, the devil doesn’t play by the rules. He may get it for you, but you’ll never be able to keep it. And the price you end up paying is immeasurable.
False covenants can also be simply wishes such as: “If I only had that job, my life would be complete.” “If I married that person, I’d be whole.” These are also false covenants because you’re seeking happiness outside yourself. And only true happiness is inside. Curses, yokes, and false covenants can all be multi-generational. In Numbers 14:18, the Bible reads: “The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.” Additionally, this can also mean their mothers, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles. And I‘ve seen some curses run as long as twenty generations.
Appendix: There’s something I wish to add here concerning curses and a person’s ability to curse total strangers. It can’t be done. You simply can’t go through the phone book, newspaper or any web site and cast curses on people that you don’t share some form of a metaphysical interaction with. But, at the same time, you still suffer the consequences for intentionally or unintentionally casting a curse on a stranger.
